Grow Old With You
I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
All I wanna do is grow old with you
I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you
I'll miss you
Kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold
Need you
Feed you
Even let ya hold the remote control
So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed if you've had too much to drink
I could be the man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you
43 Things
I found this on facebook and thought I might share it with you...
43 Things a Girl Wished Her Boyfriend Knew:
#2 When she misses you, she's hurting inside.
#3 When she says it's over, she still wants you to be hers.
#4 When she walks away from you mad, follow her.
#5 When she stares at your mouth, kiss her.
#6 When she pushes or hits you, grab her tight & don't let her go.
#7 When she starts cursing at you, kiss her and tell her you love her.
#8 When she ignores you, give her your attention.
#9 When she pulls away, pull her back.
#10 When you see her at her worst, tell her she's beautiful.
#11 When you see her crying, just hold her and don't say a word.
#12 When you see her walking, sneak up and hug her waist from behind.
#13 When she's scared, protect her.
#14 When she lays her head on your shoulder, tilt her head up and kiss her.
#15 When she steals your favourite jacket, let her keep it and sleep with it for a night.
#16 When she teases you, tease her back and make her laugh.
#17 When she doesn't answer for a long time, reassure her that everything is okay.
#18 When she looks at you with doubt, back yourself up with the truth.
#19 When she says that she likes you, she really does more than you could understand.
#20 When she grabs your hands, hold hers and play with her fingers.
#21 When she bumps into you, bump into her back and make her laugh.
#22 When she tells you a secret, keep it safe and untold.
#23 When she looks at you in your eyes, don’t look away until she does.
#24 Stay on the phone with her even if she’s not saying anything.
#25 Don't let her have the last word.
#26 Don't call her hot, but gorgeous or beautiful is so much better.
#27 Say you love her more than she could ever love you.
#28 Argue that she is the best girl ever.
#29 When she's mad, hug her tight and don't let go.
#30 When she says she's OK, don’t believe it, talk to
her about it, because 10 yrs later she'll still remember it.
#31 Call her at 12:00am on special occasions to tell her you love her.
#32 Call her before you sleep and after you wake up.
#33 Treat her like she's all that matters to you.
#34 Don't ignore her when she's out with you and your friends.
#35 Stay up all night with her when she's sick.
#36 Watch her favorite movie with her or her favorite show even if you think its stupid.
#37 Let her into your world.
#38 Let her wear your clothes.
#39 When she's bored and sad, hang out with her
#40 Let her know she's important.
#41 Kiss her in the pouring rain.
#42 When she runs up at you crying, the first thing you say is; "Who's ass am I kicking today baby?"
#43 After she reads this, she hopes one day you'd read it too.

Quote of the day...

Oh hello!

I was browsing through the Internet and found this beautiful piece of accessory and went "oooooh la la!". This is a leather tassel frame bag (£65) from ASOS.com. Just love its vintage look and the striking colour. Definitely a statement bag if you're wearing something dark, floral or geometric. Now, I will have to save up and get this for the new year! :)

To Die For (literally!)

Now do we think these are to DIE for? Literally die of pain if you break an ankle or two...? But at least we die looking fabulous. Riiiight?

It takes so long to cover one's massive eye-bags! Thank you MAC Cosmetics for the Select Cover Up - NC35. I also decided not to use foundation anymore so instead I got a tinted moisturizer for a more natural look and just to even the skin tone. I just counted and added up my collection of MAC Cosmetics... You don't even want to know.
Please excuse my dry lips. Haha.

Mr Marley says...
"You may not be her first, her last, or her only. She loved before she may love again. But if she loves you now, what else matters? She's not perfect - you aren't either, and the two of you may never be perfect together but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and give her the most you can. She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she will give you a part of her that she knows you can break - her heart. So don't hurt her, don't change her, don't analyze and don't expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know when she makes you mad, and miss her when she's not there." -Bob Marley

That day

That day when the world had stopped.
That day when everyone stood still.
That day when I ate candy floss (cotton candy).
That day when I crossed the bridge.
That day when everything was in bloom.
That day when I was really happy...
How I miss it.
It's still happening.
Oooooh THAT DAY.

What have I been up to?

- Cindy Sherman has inspired me and my group mates from university to do our photo-shoot based on accessories and clothing with "hair" with Ray Petri's 'Buffalo' styling.
- I've been around central London quite a lot recently with many good memories to take home with me. Well I had a few bad ones too but all I could say is that they were all a learning experience.
- Cookie Monster is one of my favourite characters! I've been totally obsessed ever since I saw a massive plush toy in the Bentalls centre's children's department! So cute!
- I love looking at pretty cupcakes (they make me smile) but never really been fond of eating them. Too sweet!
- My latest addiction: HAPPY AQUARIUM! I am hooked! All the fishies are adorable! My couple-spotted cardinal fishes even have a baby fish egg now! I truly blame my "special friend" for telling me to play this game on facebook! And what's even more silly is that I obeyed! Haha!

Jean Paul Gaultier

French designer, Jean Paul Gaultier once again rocked the Paris Fashion Week (A/W 09-10) with his fabulous designs and genius tailoring. I specially love his futuristic approach! It sort of reminded me of Star Wars. The textures and the shapes on the designs are amazing! Not to mention the shoes! They are all to die for! My favourite outfit of them all is the brown leather dress! It is FEIRCE!!! Haha!

But who amazed me was her friend AJ Rafael who can sing well and COMPOSE his own songs at the same time! I am now hooked at his song called "Showstopper"!!! I got so happy and memorized most of the lyrics in no time! Haha! Here's the video and enjoy!

I want to be...
... your Earth.
The only place you will live in.
- Something I thought of while lying on the couch with my best friend Michelle. I was just randomly thinking and came up with this line.

Oh how I missed you...
... my old and very first laptop. The iBook G4. It's been a while since I last turned this baby of mine on. Too bad it's a bit empty now, no files whatsoever. Just a few online messengers (not even YM!). I'm using it now and it just brought back so much memories! I also cleaned it (with nail polish remover! lol) and now it's fresh, clean and white! Oh happy days!

That's all folks!
Here's also a little sumtin' sumtin'... I went to Staines today which was quite a crappy high street (translation: shopping street, shopping centre) with not much interesting shops in it! Ugh! Here's a picture of me and my brother from another mother Jay, trying to well... enjoy ourselves by snapping some pics. This is also a chance to see what I look like now? Haha! As if you would really care about that! :P

That's all folks!

When we want to love
We love...
I felt like listening to Jazz so I tuned on to Miss Billie Holiday (my Jazz Goddess!) on youtube and stumbled across this song 'Getting Some Fun Out Of Life'. I adore this song! Originally sung by Billie Holiday but I couldn't find it anywhere so that I can share it to you. So I found an alternative and closest as possible to Billie's voice, this lady is good as well. Her name is Madeline Peyroux, a French-American singer and I would consider her as 'the modern day Billie Holiday'! I got a few of her songs, she's brilliant!

Some work...
This image (below) is...

My last project for University this year (Fashion Styling and Photography). Inspired by Junya Watanabe's architectural take on haute couture. I'm afraid I can't post the final pieces that I have taken (full body) for this project of mine due to my model's request.

And the saddest of them all...

Are you a dreamer?
Have you ever wondered where your story ends? Or how long it will last? Ever dwelled on "ifs" and "buts"?
I was talking to my dear good friend earlier and she was talking about holding back and all that. It made me think a little about what I would do if I was in her position.
Since last year, I have not been holding back on things that I want. Every time someone complains to me about getting hurt, falling apart and just merely ending up not as expected, I would take a deep *sigh*. I would always savour my happiness while it lasts. The way I think about it is even if it falls apart at least I know I gave it my all and did my very best (or I can only blame myself for the faults). No regrets. Of course I would also have my limits to these things that I have not been holding back on, as long as I know I'm still in the right path. So far, I'm still very happy and living my life to its fullest (what I can afford! haha!). I don't ever want to hold back anymore. I want to push my limits and see how far I can go. I've learned and put it into heart. I would do something I really feel like doing and say what I need to say. If I ever hold back, I know I will never be content.
May it be love, career or education. I dream of my happiness. Dream and achieve. Yes, I'm a dreamer and I'm not holding back to achieve it.

Art Focus
Akari Inoguchi
She is a Japanese illustrator working in a diverse range of media. I love her works! She shows a very feminine style in her artworks and her blend of colours really stand out and work perfectly well together. She works on fashion (worked for Vogue, Elle etc.) and other markets too. Inoguchi is currently living in New York as a graphic designer.

Colour Blocks
Colour Block dresses have been popping out of the runways for the spring/summer season. Meaning, this will be a big trend over the summer! I was browsing around Vogue.co.uk and saw this gorgeous colour block top and skirt/shorts by Dries Van Noten! Colourful or what?! I am in love!

The colours of this dress totally compliment each other and the silky material fits well with the upcoming weather. Not to mention the checkered detail on the dress! Totally gorgeous! And look at the statement necklace too! Everything is fabulous!
So that everybody is WINNING...
Other alternatives for the "less able to buy designer clothes" can pop by your favourite high street stores like Topshop who sells these pretty and playful colour block poplin jersey dress for £40! Well now, that is being totally in fashion for a much lesser price!

For The Love of Jimmy Choo!

I am in love with these Jimmy Choo; Corsica Leather Sandals! It's tribal, sexy and very edgy, totally in for the Spring/Summer season! The contrast between the green and the black really stands out; making it a pair of eye-catching statement shoes! I've been drooling over it! I could wear this with anything! Dresses, pair of jeans, leggings, shorts, skirts... EVERYTHING!!! This gorgeous pair of high heels cost a wallet ripping 456GBP (about 660USD). Obviously, it is not for the commoners! One day Jimmy... One day.
On the other hand, here is another pair of shoes that I truly like and totally affordable!

The leather woven platform sandals from ASOS.com. This lovely pair of heels cost 49GBP (about 70USD) which is a more affordable option for us, the commoners. Affordable and FASHIONABLE! The natural colour is good to match with any other colours and outfits you can think of. This gorgeous sandals also come in black but I like the natural colour more, it suits well with the upcoming season!

Kiss Me Goodnight
- I was a little inspired so I created this and even managed to write a short poem!-

Will I ever see you again?
Will I ever smile again?
Embrace me.
Just this once.
Look into my eyes.
If you really love me...
Kiss me goodnight.

First Collection (2008)
Hello! Welcome to my Blog.
This is my first collection from Fashion Design course last year. The dresses are designed just from draping on a mannequin and are inspired by the ancient Greek-Roman clothing. These are all hand-made from dying the fabrics to sewing. The fabrics used for the dresses are light weight calico (image 1), middle weight calico (image 2) and cotton jersey (image 3). I hope you like it.
